About the project
We were angaged by existing client The Teaching Awards Trust to create the identity for a series of regional events that bring together educators, experts and keynote speakers to explore the issues shaping people’s lives and a shared responsibility in preparing them for the world beyond school.
The events aim to spark discussion and be a catalyst for change. The graphic motif is a direct representation of this ‘spark’ exploding out beyond the type marque creating energy, movement, reach and ambition. A colour palette of deep blue (trust), lavender (learn), orange (create) and neutral (balance) anchors the brands tone.
Working closely with the team at The Teaching Awards Trust and Nord Anglia, together we have realised an identity and visual language that is clean and approachable, bold and contemporary and delivers their key messages across all touch points. The brand has been designed to adapt and flex enabling simple application across environment, digital and marketing.

Having developed our branding for The Teaching Awards Trust and The Pearson National Teaching Awards, John did a fantastic job on our new Education Insights series of regional events.
We wanted something that felt fresh and modern, moving away from the traditional education look to create a brand that reflected the purpose of the series - sparking conversations, sharing ideas and bringing people together. John really understood what we were trying to achieve and translated that into a visual identity that felt full of energy.
The "Spark" concept and bold use of orange captured exactly what we were looking for, giving us a strong platform to build the series as it grows.Our brief evolved a number of times during the project, but John was always flexible, responsive and easy to work with. He took feedback on board, adapted quickly and was always willing to explore different ideas until we landed on the right solution.
The finished brand guidelines are clear, practical and give us confidence that we can apply the brand consistently across all our events. We're really pleased with the outcome and wouldn't hesitate to recommend John.
